The Triton Sonic Wind Profiler measures up to and above the rotors.

Second Wind, company management and engineering Mistaya meteorological data, a Canadian software company, have partnered to combine wind data collection with analysis software. The companies say the initiative will help power companies evaluate and select the most productive sites for their turbines.

The Triton Wind Profiler and Nomad Data Logger collects information on Second Wind winds up to 200 m above ground level, creating data sets. software then plots Mistaya Windographer and analysis of wind data that enable users to better identify patterns and predict the performance of the turbine. The software identifies the wind speed and direction at different heights.

The software also filters banners and data points below a fixed level of quality, plot profiles of wind speed vertically, providing tools for analysis of meteorological phenomena such as reverse shear at low altitude and aircraft . Management SkyServer wind data allows users to export data directly to Triton Wanderer Windographer without custom code or format.

The two companies also plan to combine with Second Wind Windographer Serve Wind Sky satellite service data provides a remote control units Triton and Nomad. “The decision where to place a wind turbine on the hinges of collection and analysis of wind data. This may sound simple, but many things for optimal performance of these two processes, said Second Wind Business Development Director Lee Alnes . Second Meeting Mistaya Wind and offers easy data collection of energy companies and analysis. ”

The working height 90m Bronto S HLA-90 can directly paste a turbine and is fully operational in minutes. These capabilities involve an inspection faster, safer and more accurate and maintenance of the turbine blades and abroad at a lower cost than other methods currently in use.

The Bronto HLA-S-90 machines have been used in Europe for years and have been tested in the harsh weather conditions. When raised, they can withstand winds of up to 12m / s (25 mph) and can lift up to 45 kg (1000 pounds) of men and material in an 8 x 3, including the complete platform in a 90m (295 feet) maximum working height . Horizontal maximum range is 33 m m (108). Mounted on a 6-axle chassis, the Bronto S-90 HLA-machine navigate most terrain and reach the tower remote locations.

With the advanced controls and automatic stabilizer placement of a single button on the pen from the moment in the play Bronto antennas can be placed lying configuration and increase the area up in 15 to 20 minutes or less.

One of the main cons with electric cars is the storage of electricity that moves. Batteries are not saved as much electricity to make long journeys, which determines that in order to travel more miles, you have to put more batteries. Nevertheless the use of these cars is one of the goals that humanity must be imposed to combat global warming, as fossil fuel combustion accounts for much of the emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. So to make a viable electric car is really organic, not only have to get better batteries, but feed them with renewable energy.

In Germany they are betting to get a million electric vehicles powered only by renewable energy by 2020. They also hope that in this term green electricity account 30 percent of the country’s energy consumption. The problem faced is that it is difficult to achieve a goal such as electromovilidad is completely organic. There is also the danger that, if the electric car industry is growing faster than renewables, which will lead to increased energy consumption to be covered with clean energy, so electric cars would still pollute, but a lesser degree than burning fossil fuels.

To deal with this while achieving the goal, Dominik Noer, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy, has developed a smart grid system. It is based on electric cars with a capacity to store much energy. Assuming that the cars are usually parked 20 of the 24 hours a day, is that enough time to reload if they are electric, using peak electricity from wind or solar energy, and also when energy demand is lower, so as not to affect the peak hour power consumption.

This intelligent charging system could help inject demand for electric cars to the electricity network is not saturated at peak hours. The system of smart charging stations is a device that allows electric cars recharged when renewable energies are at their peak of energy injection to the network. Thus, not only avoid the rush hour recharge, but making full use of peak wind and solar, which is sometimes wasted. Wind and solar are dependent on wind and sun, respectively, and therefore sometimes have their maximum peak power production just as demand is lower, making that energy is lost as it can not be stored. With the advent of electric cars, and with this intelligent charging system, could exploit this extra wasted.

The initiative also is betting that the recharge is charged less at the time of peak of renewable generation, and more expensive during peak hours of consumption. Benefits should be given instead of cons to encourage the use of electric cars.

In case you’ve not heard, there is a Green Revolution in progress. To quote a popular commercial, “The way we use energy now can’t be the way we use it in the future. It’s not conservation, or wind, or solar or Acer BTP-44A3 BTP-58A1. It’s all of it.” I have long kept a solar-energy project in the back of my mind, so I ordered a 12v/.2A solar panel power supply from a vendor (note: I erred while filming and said it is a 2A panel. It is a .2A panel).

As a first step project, I figured I would power up my Arduino, use my shiny new XBee modules and Aspire 3000 battery , and relay some sort of meaningful data back from this wireless solar-powered microprocessor.

How is the weather outside today? If I am getting data, its sunny! And 65 degrees on my deck according to my newly built solar temperature probe.

XBee Communications

I did some first-steps using 2 Arduinos communicating over the default broadcast configurations over a span of about 2 feet for my Acer BATCL50L .

Arduino 1: ”Yo. How you doing?”

Arduino 2: ”Fine thanks. Wow, we are talking wirelessly.”

Arduino 1:” These are great days we’re living in, man.”

Arduino 2: “Now, if only I could unhook from this power cable.”

I settled down Arduino 2 after his diatribe likening himself to Pinnochio, and told him that I would take care of it Acer BTP-59A1, Acer BTP-60A1.

Serial Communications

After getting the Arduino twins talking (and hey, its all serial!) I grabbed my ioBridge and slapped on the Serial Communications smartboard. In about 1 minute, I had my ioBridge chatting with my Arduino. Sweet…. Now, on to untethering my Arduino. ”I got no wires without Acer BTP-63D1, Acer BTP-73E1,…to hold me down… la-la-la-la”

The Wireless Temperature Probe

I ran out to Radio Shack and picked up the right barrel plug adapter, and added some wires to run into the Arduino. Note: the jumper must be set on the Arduino to take power from external. My Solar Panel provides 12v, and the Arduino can take power up to 12v.

II used the temperature probe that I had from my ioBridge and Latitude D620 Battery, crafted a quick sketch (see below) on the arduino (the analog scaling factor may be off since its not precisely linear, but c’est la vie) and waited for the sun. As soon as I plugged it in, the Arduino woke up, lights blinking, and was soon processing and wirelessly communicating! All this achieved because of energy provided by that flaming ball in the sky. Now that’s cool.

A quick run upstairs onto the ioBridge dashboard and guess what? The serial monitor widget was telling me what the temperature is outside. 65.31 degrees Farenheight. Wirelessly and without another power source…

Conclusion

Now that I have a solar powered wireless microprocessor at my disposal, I am thinking of giving it some legs, and onboarding some Artifical Intelligence. Its top priority could be to take over the world. Take some solace in the fact that the processor is 1KB of RAM, a Latitude D820 Battery 512 bytes of EEPROM, and runs at a “blazing” 16 MHz. If that’s not enough, then know that all you need to do to shut down its diabolical scheme is stand over it and block the sun. Hmm. Perhaps its better served as a temperature probe….. for now…

Blue Earth is the first solar powered full-touch screen phone. According to Samsung, “By charging with the solar panel located on the back of the phone as Sony PCGA-BP2NY , users can generate enough electronic power to call anytime anywhere.”

As long as it’s daytime, I suppose…

The phone is made from recycled plastic called PCM, which is extracted from water bottles such as Sony PCGA-BP2V , and the Blue Earth model (including the charger), is free from toxic substances such as brominated flame retardants, beryllium and phthalates.

The Samsung touchscreen interface has a one-click setting for changing the screen brightness, the backlight duration and Bluetooth to an energy-efficient mode, called the ‘Eco mode’. Blue Earth’s ‘eco walk’ function counts the user’s steps with a pedometer and calculates the CO2 emissions savings your power from Sony PCGA-BP71, letting them calculate the footprint (pun intended) of walking as opposed to driving.

“Samsung’s ‘The Blue Earth Dream’ demonstrates our small but meaningful commitments for the future and our environment. We are committed to achieving the highest eco-status with our customers and business partners by providing the best eco-products and promoting eco-activities to VGP-BPS2 Sony VGP-BPS2C .” – JK Shin, Samsung
The phone was just unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Conserving Battery Power

Perform the following actions to conserve battery power:

Connect the computer to an electrical outlet when possible because battery life is largely determined by the number of times the battery is used and recharged.

Place the computer in standby mode or hibernate mode (see Power Management Modes) when you leave the computer unattended for long periods of time.

Use the Power Management Wizard (see Configuring Power Management Settings) to select options to optimize your computer’s power usage. These options can also be set to change when you press the power button, close the display, or press <Fn><Esc>.

Charging the Battery

NOTE: With Dell? ExpressCharge?, when the computer is turned off, the AC adapter charges a completely discharged Dell 1300 battery to 80 percent in about 1 hour and to 100 percent in approximately 2 hours. Charge time is longer with the computer turned on. You can leave the battery in the computer for as long as you like. The battery’s internal circuitry prevents the battery from overcharging.

NOTE: If you want to use a 9-cell inspiron 1300 battery to obtain Dell ExpressCharge, you need to use it in conjunction with a 90-W AC adapter.

When you connect the computer to an electrical outlet or install a battery while the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the computer checks the battery charge and temperature. If necessary, the AC adapter then charges the battery and maintains the battery charge.

If the battery is hot from being used in your computer or being in a hot environment, the battery may not charge when you connect the computer to an electrical outlet.

The Dell 6000 battery is too hot to start charging if the light flashes alternately green and orange. Disconnect the computer from the electrical outlet and allow the computer and the battery to cool to room temperature. Then connect the computer to an electrical outlet to continue charging the battery.
